Well, I mean besides the fact that they're naturally annoying...

The format of French commericals is interesting because they don't actually have any during the shows. Instead, they devote a twenty minute block of time between each show totally filled with commercials.

Of course, that'll never happen here in America because then you'd be able to (god forbid) avoid them more. The new VCRs with dedicated commercial skipping features are helping, but it's still one hell of an inconvenience. I look forward to the day when we find a better way...
