Founded in 1942, FreightLiner, a privately held company owned by DaimlerChrysler, is a heavy vehicle manufacturing company that produces School Buses, Commuter buses and fire engines, but is most known for it's line of transport Tractors (read: 18-Wheelers).

FreightLiner Tractors are the best line of tractors you've never heard of; while every Joe recognizes names like Kenworth, Peterbilt and Mack, very few non-truckers have every heard of them. This is sad because they are currently thought by many to be the Cadillac of long-haul tractors, especially the FreightLiner Century Class S/T.
