Foreordination

I'm not sure what all religions believe in this, but it is a tenet of Mormonism. Foreordination is the belief that God ordained people to be prophets, apostles, bishops or just about any other calling before they were born. It's important to note that just because you are foreordained to a calling, it does not guarantee that you will actually achieve that calling in life. In this respect, foreordination is much different than predestination.

The concept of foreordination can be found in Jeremiah 1:5:

"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."
That verse and the concept of foreordination can also be used to show that abortion is not supported under Christianity.
