curled up in little black box
filled with tiny gray circles
of.. monochrome light
that dance on ceilings where
we'll look and see things
as they are to be, when life
descends upon me and this
universe, overwhelmed by
human existence, collapses
on itself, all of us with it,
weeping, sobbing at the loss
of infinite knowledge, undying
love (firm hands grasping what
little is left of contrived sanity)
and you are standing there
on the edge.. holding me,
it should have always been like this.
