On this day I will be going to DC. I will see my sister ophelia, and many others I haven't seen in forever. A few of my different worlds will collide, well the people in those worlds will meet. It's freaky..

More to come

Today I'm sitting around waiting for an employer to call me again, regarding a new job. I've been looking for work for around three months now and It's starting to piss me off in a large way.

It's too bloody hot here, and my fan just doesn't cut it.

Whinge whinge whinge.

Can't sleep, eyeballs dry. On the up side, today, I have meetings to attend that determine my financial future. On a bad note, I must got to "work" again.

"Only" 20 minutes late to work today. The sun was quite kind, but it was pretty chilly out compared to the last few days.
Since I had as much slack time as I ever do, worked up a QBasic program to mark up text files of the KJV Bible with my preferred formatting and heirarchical linking scheme. It would take more time to program marking-up the "gratuitous" links than just doing that part manually, so from Leviticus on will be unlinked until I feel like bracketing words and phrases of interest.
Got the scanner working last night, but all the USB drivers conflict with my video card, so I get 16-color, 640x480 performance unless I disable USB in the BIOS. Windows 95; no.
Picked up some Chinese take-out for dinner, shredded chicken with garlic sauce. Fortune cookie fortunes not worth repeating, even with "in bed" tacked on.
