Financial News Network, a
cable TV channel. Merged
1991 with
CNBC (winner of a bidding war with
Westinghouse and
The Wall Street Journal), providing it some of its better-known faces, like Bill Griffeth,
Ron Insana, Joe Kernen, Jerry Cobb... On weekends, FNN became FNN/Score, a
sports-betting channel featuring people (like "top prognosticator" Wayne Root) who have now
crawled back under their
infomercial-land rocks. Oddly, some of FNN's featured
money "experts" have done the same.
