The eustachian tube, like the sinuses, can become infected or swollen, and the pain associated with this is (in my own experience) is much worse then a sinus headache.
Luckily, this rarely happens, and when it does, it can be treated rather easily with an anti-histamine, or perhaps an Adrenergic Agonist such as psudeoephridine. |
