Challenge is a soccer game for the
Atari Lynx
. This cart was released by Telegames and might be the
best sports game on the Lynx
. The good comes from the
graphics
, feel of the
matches
, and the number of teams. 130 teams from 36
European countries
are available to
play against
. The graphics are
as good as
any other Lynx
game
and while the players may be small they are as big as they can get for the screen size. The
gameplay
is very good and
authentic
to the sport while keeping the game exciting with an effective and smooth
side-scrolling
view. A problem with the gameplay is that it isn't always easy to tell who has
control
of the ball and passes are rather hard to complete. One place where this game is lacking is the sound. Aside from pretty good title screen
music
there is hardly
any
sound at all during the game.
