This recipe looks a little bit long, but its actually suprisingly simple. Its also really cheap, which is a nice extra for college students and pretty much anyone else.It also takes under 30 minutes to make. Its kind of like Hamburger Helper except heartier and more unhealthy.
Ingredients:
1. When boiling the macaroni for the macaroni and cheese, add the extra elbow noodles in. Macaroni and cheese mix usually makes too much sauce, the extra noodles should solve that problem. If it is too dry, add extra milk.
2. While macaroni and cheese is still hot, break up a piece of american cheese and mix it into the noodles. If you want the mixture to be cheesier, add some extra grated cheddar.
3. Saute the chop meat and diced onions until browned. Drain. (For extra spice, add some chili powder or pepper to the meat) 4. In a 8x11 pan, mix together the meat/onions and the macaroni and cheese.
4. Flatten out the mixture and top it with the grated cheddar and sprinkle the breadcrumb on top.
5. Cook in the oven at 375 degrees until its a little brown. |
