The term domesticated primate simply refers to the species homo-sapien, or human. It was used by author Robert Anton Wilson in his books Prometheus Rising and Quantum Psychology. The term is intended to make a point about the supposed superiority of the human race above other animals. Further, it is used as a criticism of the higher cognitive functions possessed by humans.
