The Detroit Auto Show, a.k.a. the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), is a large annual automotive exhibition held in Detroit, Michigan. The first Show was held in 1907, and it has been running every year (except four war years) since. In recent years it has taken place during one week in January at Detroit's Cobo Hall.
Some Attractions found at the NAIAS:
- Concept vehicles - usually very innovative and never seen before by the general public.
- Production vehicles - also fun to see... especially Ferrari, Porsche, Bentley, Jaguar, BMW, and Aston Martin (drool). You're even allowed to sit in some of them.
- Pre-show gala - raises charity money, attended by the wealthy, celebrities, and media.
- Free stuff - mostly pamphlets, possibly posters, t-shirts, or widgets.
