San Jose-based sculptor. Working mainly in metal and ceramic, Bailey creates life-sized robots, ray guns (some of which shoot corks or bits of potato at impressive speeds), and various other pseudo-scientific devices that look as if they emerged intact and working from an old Flash Gordon movie serial.

The raygun pop guns are $500 each, and are guaranteed to work forever (guarantee good for the lifetime of the artist.)
