The result is a very soft bar of sweet, fruity goodness that is quite easy to eat - the sweetness of the cherries (and whatever else they put in the filling) is offset by the subtle bitterness of the dark chocolate.

Manufactured by the leading mass-market chocolatier Cadbury, the "standard" 55g bar, physically, is a long, flat bar, about 1 inch wide by 3 inches long, but only about 1/4 inch thick, making it wide and easy to share - the latest ad campaigns center around the love of the bar and the reluctance to share it... Also available, like most chocolate bars in Australia theses days, in "King Size" variety, keeping the same dimensional proportions, but weighing in at a whopping 85g, as well as 216g and 360g "Share Packs" made up of cute little 18g bars

Of note is the fact that Cadbury, after well over 60 years of successful marketing, has only now given in to consumerism and brought out a spin-off variety - the Strawberry Ripe - not quite the same ring to it, hey... Again, the "Old Gold" dark chocolate and coconut, but with a much sweeter fruit, the strawberry (seedless of course).
