Quite closely resembles Iguanodon. The main differences can be found in the hands, head, feet and hips; its name actually means `bent lizard' due to its curved thigh bones. These curved bones enabled it to use speed as a means of defense. The head of Camptosaurus is long and low compared to Iguanodon's. This herbivorous biped probably walked on all fours when feeding on low-growing plants. It was about 23 feet long and 20 feet tall. Know how a hamster can stuff copious amounts of food into the huge cheek sacs it has? That's what Camptosaurus may have had, for pulling in a big wad of plant matter, clipping it off with its horny beak, and chewing the stuff stored in its stretchy cheeks. Mmm, dinosaur cud. It lived in the late Jurassic and early Cretaceous in Western Europe and North America.
