Ca`hier" (?), n. [F., fr. OF. cayer, fr. LL. quaternum. See Quire of paper. The sheets of manuscript were folded into parts.]

A namber of sheets of paper put loosely together; esp. one of the successive portions of a work printed in numbers.

2.

A memorial of a body; a report of legislative proceedings, etc.
