Oasis in the island state of Bahrain, literally means oasis of the virgins. Local legend has it that virgins use to bath in the oasis hence the name, the oasis is fed by the underground reservoir of fresh water that lays underneath the Arabian peninsula which have been stored during the last ice age when the Arabian peninsula used to be a rain forest.
