A cow born from the drops of the melting primeval ice in Norse Mythology. The giant Ymir, born of the same, fed off Audhumla's milk while Audhumla survived by licking the salt and hoar frost from the ice of Niflheim.
The cow's licking eventually exposed the first Norse god, Buri. |
