A dipsomaniacal and befuddled poet of uncertain provenance and unappealing oeuvre, span and fate unknown. Author of "Songs of Ignorance and Impertinence" (1951), To Wriggle, to Writhe (1959), Beyond Communication (1964), and Quatsch! (1967).
Necropolis is believed to have been born in Chad, but it could as easily have been Bolivia or Kuala Lumpur. He made conflicting claims and no documentation has come to light.
It is known that in the 1950s he wrote for several English-language expatriate newspapers in former Crown colonies throughout the South Pacific and eastern Asia. He was last seen in 1968, working as a hotel porter in Ho Chi Minh City.
