Along with Carson Daly, Ananda Lewis has emerged as one of the most popular MTV veejays in recent memory. Before coming to MTV in the late 90s, Ananda worked for BET as the host of a popular young adult talk show called Teen Summit. Tired of busting her ass on BET while making a modest $30k a year, Ananda auditioned for MTV and landed one of the coveted VJ spots. Her good looks, non-nappy hair and personality made her an instant hit with near comatose viewers and now Ananda is called on frequently to act as an expert on this vapid boy band obsessed generation.
