Group whose core members are the
gay,
lovable brothers,
John Navin and
Frank Navin. Originally in some
hardcore act called
Women In Love. After they came clean about their love for
The Carpenters and
Burt Bacharach, they started up the Aluminum Group, releasing the average
Wonder Boy. They released their super-dandy sophomore album,
Plano on Minty Fresh records. To be nice, they combined Wonder Boy and Plano on
Wonder Boy Plus. The amazing Pedals came out in 1999, which somehow managed to work despite the muddy hands of
Jim O'Rourke. Also released a
European import called
Introducing... The Aluminum Grouop. It was a compilation of stand out tracks from their earlier albums. File under: Easy Listening. Also a line of
furniture by Charles and Ray Eames.
