_______________

One of David's wives, Ahinoam came from Jezreel in southern Judah. She, along with Abigail, joined David on his escape from Saul. Their 16-month-long exile was spent at Ziklag. Having survived capture by the Amalekites, Ahinoam returned with David to Hebron, where he was annointed king of Israel. There she gave birth to David's first son, Amnon.
