| 1969 Disneyland attraction presented by Monsanto in which riders were apparently shrunk to microscopic size and projected into a snowflake. There they would continue to shrink, surrounded by molecules, electrons, and finally viewing the nucleus inside an atom. The snowflake then began to melt so they had to return to their normal size -- but not before passing beneath a giant eye looking down at them through a microscope. It was beautiful, but was closed in 1986 to make way for Star Tours. So many people took amorous advantage of the cozy, private carriages and the darkness of the ride that employees nicknamed it "Adventure Thru Inter Course". |
