It has its origins in <a href="/title/strip">strip</a> number 75, when Yuki writes <a href="/title/Piro">Piro</a> (the character) an email telling him that she likes the drawing titled "sad girl in snow." The readers of Megatokyo would probably have forgotten this little mention if Piro (the artist) hadn't titled strip number 123 "sad girl with <a href="/title/bear">bear</a>." <a href="/title/Alas">Alas</a>, the double reference to Piro's love of drawing <a href="/title/adorable">adorable</a>, <a href="/title/vulnerable">vulnerable</a>, <a href="/title/underage">underage</a> girls left him open to a fair share of good-natured <a href="/title/mockery">mockery</a>. Said mockery came in the form of guest strips by fellow webcomic <a href="/title/Mac+Hall">Mac Hall</a> (strips 142 and 209), but Piro went along with the joke when he issued his <a href="/title/Halloween">Halloween</a> <a href="/title/death+threat">death threat</a> to Mac Hall's creators (strip 188). This ongoing joke has yet to reach a solid <a href="/title/conclusion">conclusion</a>.</p>
