So Impossible is the fourth release by Chris Carraba under the moniker of Dashboard Confessional. It is the follow up to his most successful album to date, The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most.

The EP contains four songs, For You To Notice..., So Impossible, Remember To Breathe, and Hands Down.

What makes this different from other Dashboard Confessional releases is the fact that these songs are about falling in love, and not about the hurt from not being in love. This is definitely different lyrically from his other songs but musically its still the same.

The album basically tells the story of a guy falling in love with a girl,

The Atlantic Wall (thing)

Built during World War II, The Atlantic Wall was considered the last major "Defensive Line" of the 20th century. It was a belt of fortifications built by Nazi Germany under Hitler's Führer Directive No. 40 to protect Fortress Europe from any seaborne invasion launched by the Allies from Great Britain. The wall was designed by engineer Fritz Toldt, who had also designed the defensive line on the French-German border.

Tien Len (thing)

Tien Len, meaning "Go Forward", is a card game that is considered the national game of Vietnam. The game is a climbing card game with the goal of getting rid of all of your cards by beating your opponents combination of cards. A variation of Tien Lien is big 2 (or maybe it is the other way around?)

Setup

The game is played with four players, although there are variations with three players where all cards are dealt with the extra card being placed in the middle. The person who has the lowest ranking card gets to take the extra card.

The ranking of the cards is Two, Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3 with Two being the highest and 3 being the lowest.

The rank of the order of suits depends on who you play. Normally it is played as Spades, Clubs, Diamonds,Hearts with Hearts being the highest. But other people prefer to play based based on alphabetical ordering (Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts, Spades). As long as the…

Gondor, meaning Land of Stone, was the Southern-kingdom of the Dúnedain (The Men of the West). It's main cities were Minas Anor, Minas Ithil and Osgiliath. Osgiliath was the capital until the year 1640 of the Third Age when the capital was moved to Minas Anor. Orcs invading Gondor destroy the city of Osgiliath in TA 2475. To the east of Gondor lies Mordor, to the north lies Rohan and in the south and west of Gondor is the Bay of Belfalas

Gondor was formed by Elendil, who ruled over both Gondor and Arnor as the High King. His sons, Isildur and Anárion were given the title of Co-Regents of Gondor. To the east of Gondor lies Mordor, which put Gondor under constant fear of attack. Although Gondor did enjoy peace for 400 years during the Third Age, it was broken when Orcs from Mordor attacked Ithilien and destroyed Osgiliath. Wild n' crazy fast food stories (idea)

A story I remember was from my AP European History teacher. We often finished his lectures very quickly so he usually had time to tell us some story or funny joke to the class.

One story he told us was when he was a teenager working at McDonald's. His job was to flip burgers. Not a really hard job but something to earn money.

One day while he was working there, his nose began to bleed pretty badly. It was rushing out of his nose so fast that some blood fell onto the hamburgers he was grilling. He rushed to the bathroom to stop the nose bleed and clean himself up. In his haste he forgot to tell anyone about the burgers...

When he came back, the burgers were gone. He asked one of his co-workers what happened to the burgers that he was grilling.

His co-worker said, "Oh I just served them, why?"

This is why he never eats at McDonald's anymore :P

Denethor I (person)

From The Lord of the Rings,

Denethor I lived in the Third Age, 2375 until his death in 2477. He was the tenth steward of Gondor and is known as the last steward who saw the end of the Watchful Peace. 25 Years after Denethor I took the title of Steward of Gondor, Sauron returned to Dol Guldor in Mirkwood. The peace ended for Gondor when orcs pillaged Ithilien and took over Osgiliath. Denethor's son, Boromir, recaptures both cities but Osgiliath is completely destroyed. The city of Gondor does not see peace until after the War of the Rings ended.

To avoid any confusion, the Denethor and Boromir mentioned in The Lord of the Rings were actually the second people to bear those names. The Denethor in the book was the twenty-sixth Steward of Gondor.
